Welcome to the 'home' of recognised Nutritional Therapy and NLP Life Coaching Courses

We invite you to study nutritional therapy with us at CNELM. Flexible study options available. All nutrition courses can be attended. 80% of nutrition courses are also accessible audio visually enabling students from around the country and overseas to study with us. Attendance requirements are consolidated in one week blocks which makes it possible for those living at a distance to attend when necessary. All coaching courses require attendance. Coaching techniques are integrated into the undergraduate degree courses. All health professionals can apply to join our professional coaching courses.

BSc Hons Nutritional Therapy: We are the only private Centre in the UK delivering a nutritional therapy undergraduate degree course that is fully validated by a university. This enables us to ensure that every aspect of our course is designed to help you become the best possible nutritional therapy practitioner. This course has been running successfully for six years. Our nutritional therapy undergraduate course is validated by Middlesex University MU. In 2006 the QAA expressed broad confidence in Middlesex Universities management of their collaborative partners like CNELM.

New! BSc Hons Nutritional Science: We are collaborating with Middlesex University and subject to MU validation a new degree course will start in January 2009 BSc Hons Nutritional Science. This course will closely emulate the nutritional therapy degree course but will lead to non-clinical outcomes. Opportunities will be available to take a postgraduate clinical training if practice is desired at a later stage. Many applicants over the years wish to join this sector of the nutrition industry but do not necessarily wish to practice. This course is designed to enable people to join the industry in a variety of ways: writing, teaching, research, community projects, technical support for companies. Dietary Educator Certificate: Internal Award given who complete level one of the therapy degree course and will also be awarded to those completing level one of the science degree course (subject to validation of this course). Can be taken as a stand-alone qualification for health care professionals.

Fast Track to BSc or Masters: First science or health science degree holders can Fast Track relevant year one and two undergraduate modules and register for the third year of the degree or transfer to postgraduate studies combined with Practitioner Development. Fast Track modules are agreed at interview based on your prior learning.

Nutritional Therapy Foundation degree holders upon qualification can take a short bridging course and then register for the final year of the undergraduate degree.

Nutritional therapy diploma holders from courses facilitating registration in the UK with the Nutritional Therapy Council and BANT or equivalent international bodies that have 2 or more years clinical experience can also apply to Fast Track to BSc or Masters.

Postgraduate Courses: Our postgraduate courses are accredited by MU. You can take a Postgraduate Certificate Nutritional Therapy, Postgraduate Diploma Nutritional Therapy directly with us. You can also opt after having completed four CNELM postgraduate modules to transfer to MU to complete a Masters degree. We collaborate with MU whilst you study with them as second research project supervisors.

Our postgraduate modules are clinically applied and assume a grounding in nutritional therapy. Hence the need for Fast Tracking and Practitioner Development for those joining the postgraduate courses with first science or health science degrees. Diploma holders may need to Fast Track some modules depending on their prior training and postgraduate experience.

Practitioner Development: This course is mainly designed for Fast Track students that require clnical training to enable professional registration upon qualification. Can also be taken as a Back to Practice refresher course.

Continuing Professional Development CPD: Specific days or short courses can be attended for CPD. Many of our CPD options are BANT accredited for CPD.

Science Foundation Courses: Most of our students joining the undergraduate courses need to complete Human Biology and/or Chemistry foundation courses. Our foundation courses are designed to meet the requirements of students gaining 'Access' to health science degree courses. Fast Track students may need to complete Foundation Courses depending on the science or health science degree course taken. It is rare for Fast Track students to need to complete both Foundation Courses.

ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Nutrition & Health: for complementary therapists

Food for Health: follows the same course of study as ITEC Level 3 for those with a strong interest in nutrition and if you are considering studying a degree in nutritional therapy or nutritional science.

RIPH Certificate in Health and Nutrition: aimed for those working in healthcare professions, caring professions, hotel and catering industries, retail food trades, food manufacturing, beauty industries and anyone with a personal interest in health and nutrition.

Nutrition Coach Diploma: this course is aimed at those wanting to become a life coach that focuses on working with people to improve their health.

NLP Practitioner: 17 day course leading to NLP Practitioner status and eligibility to join ANLP. A course open to all health professionals that want to work with self and clients to achieve life goals.

NLP Master Practitioner: 20 day course

Why Weight Practitioner: 5 day coaching course that focuses on helping those who have difficulty losing weight.

Taster Day: You can join us for one of our Taster Days held throughout the year to find out about our approach and courses

Cookery Workshops: ideal for anyone wanting practical input on how to plan and cook meals for a variety of health scenarios. Students and practitioners also enjoy these workshops to obtain good ideas to pass on to their clients.
