About us

The Centre was formally opened in the autumn of 2001 by the Countess of Worcester with the aim of developing courses to a level that would enable nutritional therapists to become fully integrated into health care services in the UK and internationally. Well qualified experts in nutrition are needed to help address the health issues currently facing the world at an individual, community and international level.

We believe that degree status is the way forward for the profession. Opportunities for further academic progression through postgraduate courses should help consolidate the profession thus enhancing integration and good long- term career opportunities.

The Centre seeks to:

Provide a supportive learning environment for students whatever their age, background, or mode of attendance

Raise the profile and acceptance of the nutritional therapy profession both at national and international level

Provide the highest level of training in nutritional therapy

Provide a forum for the nutrition practitioner to share experiences and expertise

Provide continuing professional development for the qualified nutrition practitioners and other health professionals

Provide a resource for local health professionals and the public seeking information about nutrition and health and nutritional therapy clinic services.

Embrace valid complementary and mainstream healthcare strategies

Aspire to be educative for the general population and influential over commercial and government strategies with the goal of improving public health

The Centre endorses Nutritional Therapy and NLP Coaching courses and is not in a position to endorse other therapies whether complementary or mainstream. The Centre will however through its On the Pulse Clinic make appropriate referral to other healthcare practitioners.

The Centre's financial income is from its courses, journal and clinical services.
